Best time to visit Thailand
In Thailand it is best to avoid the rainy season from July to October, otherwise the weather in Thailand is hot and sunny at most other times of the year. It gets very hot in April and it is recommended that November through to March are the best times to visit.

The Monarchy
The monarchy is highly revered by all Thais and they will never accept any disrespect towards the Royal Family. Criticism of the King and royal family is not just looked down on in Thailand, it can be pinishable by a lengthy jail sentence under its lèse majesté laws.
Buddhism
Thailand's religion is Buddhism and you should be respectful at all times. When visiting monastries and temples dress appropriately, covering yourself and never point your feet towards the Buddah. Do not wear shortsor show your bare arms, wear short skirts or your legs.
Buddhist monks cannotbe touched by a woman. A monk will not shake a man's hand, so get used to the Thai wai — a gesture made by placing your hands together in front of your face while bowing. Also, you cannot wear shoes inside a temple and beware of patting someone on the head, however affectioately it is meant. in the West is accetable, but not in Thailand. Kissing is public places is also frowned upon.
